Gregory Frank Anderson is an established art director and production designer. As a local 800 member, he designs and art directs for film and TV.
Originally from Troy, Michigan, he set his sights on Hollywood to design for the big screen. He started his career working on the 82nd Academy Awards after graduating from California Institute of the Arts with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Scenic Design.
His most recent projects include: The Gray Man, Ordinary Joe, and The Crossover.
In his early career, he worked his way up the art department ladder on projects such as: ABC’s Castle, The Lincoln Lawyer, Think Like A Man, Battle of the Year, About Last Night and Lifetime’s Five, before graduating to the level of art director where he worked on Amazon’s Bosch, and FX’s TV show The Comedians.
In 2014, he partnered with the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and designed a fully-interactive, educational, permanent exhibit called The Situation Room Experience centered around the White House situation room.
After working with the Reagan Presidential Library, he was approached by Break The Floor Productions a highly-acclaimed international dance organization, to curate and design a 15,000 sq. ft. office space in North Hollywood. He also collaborated with Emmy-winning choreographer Travis Wall’s dance company, Shaping Sound, and designed two international touring productions.
Greg finds joy in designing and collaborating with amazing talent on projects all over the country; but the greatest joy the industry has afforded him was the opportunity to meet his husband. Greg currently resides in Los Angeles and loves working on home improvement projects on the weekend, spoiling his dog Tucker all the time, and traveling every chance he gets.
